General Information About the Department:
Our hospital's Cardiovascular Surgery clinic has a total of 78 beds, including 54 service beds and 24 intensive care unit beds, and provides services with 7 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid operating room.
Diseases diagnosed and treated and specialized procedures:
At our hospital, all cardiovascular surgery procedures, aortic surgery, mitral valve surgery, minimally invasive surgeries, aortic surgery, and aortic dissections are performed in combination with endovascular and percutaneous interventions (EVAR, TEVAR) when necessary. Since we recently obtained a heart transplant license, we now also perform heart transplant surgery and left ventricular assist device surgery.
In addition, pulmonary endarterectomy for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) and HOCM surgery for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy are also performed successfully. Mitral valve surgeries for mitral regurgitation, along with all types of peripheral angiography, balloon stenting procedures, and peripheral artery procedures, are successfully performed in the hybrid room and angiography suite.
In our intensive care units, all complications that may arise after open heart surgery are addressed with a hemodialysis unit, portable imaging unit, intra-aortic balloon pump (ECMO), bedside ultrasonography, and temporary/permanent pacemaker applications.
